Dino War

It seems someone(maybe main developers team) took the source code of KOA and started to make a new game out of it. I feel for sure that it’s not just copying of ideas, there’s too many minor similarities.

The game is currently in beta test period. It lasted for a month already, and will continue one more month, as developers say. The game is already interesting and playable, although there’s a lot of unfinished details yet.

Some parts are completely the same as in KOA, just in other jacket. Some parts are new. I will point out a couple of new things that I feel interesting.
New type of resource added: Gold.  It could be confusion here: the gold as it was in KOA, the one that practically equivalent to real money, called “Ruby” in DinoWar.

The Gold in DinoWar is not lootable. And it’s one of the main resource for building construction. Three other resources are still important, mostly for troops recruiting. Also the troops recruiting speed now  depends on the troops count. War type player will have rapid flow  of wartype resources. A good war type player will have fun and commander XP, but not much overall progress, because he can’t loot gold. A looser war type player will have problems with his war-type resources. Farmers, on other side, will have no need for lootable resources. They will not spent much war-type resources because their army recruiting speeds will be low, because they will have full army count’s most of the time. So there is not much point in making farm account’s here.

The other innovation is trading system. It doesn’t really works on beta server as I can see, but idea is the follow. Players can put some major items on sell in special markets. This procedure takes march slot. Putting an item on sale made as a real march to the real place on the map. The sell price is set in Ruby’s and you can’t change it. The fact that prices are set makes me doubt about whole system workability. Maybe the prices will be changing automatically, depending on the sell\buy activity, that would be good. I don’t think that prices should be set by players because that will definitely be the source for schemes of Ruby tranfering from the farms and new created accounts. I hope dev’s will make the trade system playable, but not a source for farming chemes.

Total war.

Greetings readers.
Here I will put out my thoughts on how to make significant hit to enemy alliance by destroying their fortress. This is just "thoughts" because such war not happens to be every day deal. But I have some specific plans to show you, and to discuss. 
Right After I ended this text i feel like"fuck! We can do hell with that! :D" 


1. Preparation.

Chose the time for attack. That must be something around 2..6 am in local time for your enemy. Strike team top1 players better to have their embassy building same level as their strongholds. Those players hereafter reffered as "top1", We need to have main and reserve top1.  Everyone one in strike team must not have opened resources, that they afraid to loose.
We can also leave one or few experienced player at hive, someone who have no teleport this time. Because counter attacks are possible right in time of fight.

2. Force lowering stage.
Perfect way to lower enemy force will be to hit the troops on tiles. Troops standing on tiles will be divided, so it will be easy and quick to send them to hospital. It is also safe. If there is no troops on tiles then we have to rally their strongholds. 
We better to make a sequenced list of attack targets before landing.
This stage must not take long, as it is not the target. Sending troops in hospitals is not very big deal.
Me, personally, trying to keep hospital capacity at 100% of my boosted march capacity. And I always have unpacked resources and speedups to immediately bring my force back to action, in case of any shit.
I hope we will have no greedy fools, who will put resource taking in calculation during this, or any other stage. Resource taking should be number100500 target of operation in such Total War deal.

3. Intermidiate stage.
This should be done right after we hit first, most important targets. Top1 start to demolish the enemy fortress! After that, one more player should join him(rather powerfull too). Others can continue fstage 2, seeking troops on tiles, and making rallies on strongholds. But two players must be in stage 4 already... looking on to their war messages board.
Let see this position in details.
Force of this two players, demolishing fortress, must be enough to withstand any single enemy player attack. Top1 entering fortress makes the limit of possible demolishing troops highest.
Enemy can't kick them out in single attack. All enemy can do is to set up rally.

If enemy will start rally to defend his fortress from demolishing. 
Important here: such rally could not be seen as regular incoming rally. I did the tests. The only sign of incoming fortress def rally will be new message in war messages. Top1 make sure you understand that!!! That is simple message with no info more than "rally incoming". Players in demolishing should message to the chat if they see this rally incoming.
If enemy will start that kind of rally then all strike team should fill the demolishing force to the limit, with the best troops. 

We can move to final 4 stage when no more force left to hit, or when enemy doing defending rallies often.

4. Demolishing stage.
Demolishing force is maxed. Just sit and wait. If they cant make equal defending rally in time - they loose.

In that stage you can forget about your own stronghold and resources in it. Yes! You can keep taking resources with the rest of your troops, you can even hit low powered enemy forces. But you can't move main force from enemy fortress for long time to defend yourself, and no one will reinforce you. You can't shield or teleport. This means that every stronghold of strike team could be burned by enemy rallies. Yes!  There is easy way to save the rest of your troops. Just send them in camp when attack incoming. If you go offline - send them as reinforcement to some shielded friendly stronghold, or just far away across the map. But do not try to save your stronghold and resources in it at all cast.

But... We can teleport some strorage accaunt, put it under shield, and transfer resources there with trading carts. It should be at least lvl 10 to store iron, lvl 15 to store silver. This could be done in the heat of any battle. After the end we can kick it out from alliance and take resources back with no trade fee.

Danger.
If enemy will make rally force equal to demolishing force then we have to move back. If someone offline during this moment of moving back - this troops will die. If force will be equal - ours will die, enemy - to hospital.
In alliance buildings battle owner of the building always goes to hospitals, enemy of the building dies.

Additional Bonus.
That is also possible to catch enemy on defence, for those players who not top1. If you see incoming enemy trying to take some resources from you, and lower then your complete force (demolishing troops + rest of troops hided to be safe somewhere else)... use call back+emergency recall right before enemy strike. This will cause them dead. Move back to demolish and to safe place right after maneuver.

Falce rally cheeki-breeki maneuver.

This one is close to a game bug. You surely should not be banned for this, because we will not use any special software, just a game tip. 

This is mostly defending tip.
This is why the game developers did not fixing it yet, i think.  But... it can be used to make some very cool bait maneuvers.


You need to do a rally on some lost accaunt castle(not your enemy alliance). Chose 1 hour time.
That's all.
While your troops.. let say.. standing in the gate of your castle and waiting rally timer to end... while this hour:
1. Your troops can not be scanned at all.
2. Your troops don't participate in castle defend, like they are not in castle already.
3. You can return your troops to your castle any second, by pressing "cancel rally" button.

Possible use.
Assume you standing near to active enemy players. Unpack some resources (700k or more).
Hide your main force in Cheeki-breeki, keeping 5-10% in castle.
Do scans. May be do attack on your enemy with this 5%...force. Let them think that you are completely crazy idiot.
You got your 5% force melt... (or if you don't want that just wait till they scan and attack you).
They will possibly do a rally on you first... to smash and your baits and small army.
You keep your teammates calm, please them not to reinforce you.  
Rally hits you... taking a lot, but you still have some resources left.
After that they will hit you with the single forces... because you got no troops... only resources for them to have.
Press "cancel rally" when enemy close to you.
Surprise ... profit! 
(Lots of enemy graves in front of your castle. -1 enemy for a looong, long time...)

go to Cheeki-Breeki point again.... :D    I soo this made 3 times in a row. :)

If strong player hitting you - you can please only one of you friends to reinforce you , and then add your own troops to defence immediately, by surprise.

Book of war: Basics and not only basics. Second edition(12.2016).



The first goal for any Player to Player(PVP) is to grab resources. If you don't want to be attacked - don't keep huge piles of resources. You can read about managing resources in "book of peace" post. 
Make your decision of attacking someone on the ballance for the possible profit and threat. 
You can gain resources by attacking enemy castle. 
You can gain little Draco experience along with every battle. 
You can loose all your troops in attack. Don't do any attacks unless you sure. I have seen a lot of people and full alliances "deleting the game" after they slay their whole army with only one foolish attack.

Damaged troops are going either to "dead" or "wounded". Dead - you lost them forever, wounded- you can heal them in your own hospital, or in alliance hospital.
Dead is 5 or even more times worse then wounded. If you have 15k woinded in defend and your enemy lost 5k dead in attacking you - this means you got victory in fact, not defeat.
When your army are getting wounded - troops goes to your own hospitals first, check your hospital capasity and keep it modest. After limit reached they go to alliance hospital, if your alliance have one. After that second limit reached - they go to dead.
Bait type troops are always die(destroyed). If you see killed troops in your castle defend report - that could be traps only, in case your hospitals not overloaded.
Best troops (higher level infantry) die first. This gives one more important difference between defence and attack. In attack you loosing your best troops. In defence you saving them.

Dead or wounded in different situations:
Attack on castle. Rally on castle. Reinforce defence.
Attacker - dead
Defender - wounded
Reinforcer(defender) wounded.

Attack on tile, camping troops, farm, sawmill.
Attacker - wounded
Defender - wounded

Attack on alliance stronghold, tower, demolishing enemy alliance building.
Owner of the building - wounded.
Enemy of the building - dead.
Notice once again - does not care if you attack or defend. Key here will be: is it yours building or not.

War items.
Shield your castle against any enemy activity(also called "condom protection" :D ). It protects against recoissance too, Don't forget to take away your "on tile" troops. They not defended by the castle shield. Any your aggression will uncover defence shield. Shield timers don't plussing. If you double use 8 hours it will still be 8 hours. You can send troops to defend your alliance teamates from the shielded castle(reinforce). You can makes fights to defend your alliance buildings. When you making a rally on your own tower, to kick demolishing enemy troops out of there - this is defence!
You can not use shield just after you broke your previous shield to do some aggressive action. 30 minutes delay.
Canceling single attack or war rally. Rally cancel is much more expensive.
Items to rise up your attack, defence and max march capacity. Use them in any hard PVP battles.
Items to speed up current march. There is no speedups for rally. Very important item for big pvp battles. Don't spoil them just because you don't want to wait...
Lord talent "Emergency recall." With this troops can be recalled home in 3 sec once in every 8 hours. 
Teleports. Is also a war items. Use them to come closer to the enemy or to completely hide away from them(random teleport).

Some war actions.
Simple attack. is not so simple in fact :)
Ok you have power and want to use it somehow.
Spy enemy castles around you. Find some lower lvl castl with alot of resources.
If Draco in town and no much troops - this could mean that there is not much troops at all. If no Draco in town - be carefull.
You send your troops in attack. Check the time in wich your spy is getting to the enemy. let say it is 30 sec.  Before 50 seconds to attack send the spy again! Spy report will come in about 20 second before your main force hits the enemy, so you have time to see report. If you see heavy reinforcement troops in report - cansel the attack. This is the safiest way to do attack, but it still very dangerous, that is why:
Using Lord talent "Emergency recall." If you under attack and have your troops away then use emergency recall in 10-5 seconds before you will be hit. Officially they should come back in 3 seconds + ping delay. This will be good surprise for incoming enemy. You can do it when your troop marching to attack enemy, or coming back from anywhere.
Anti "Emergency recall." Enemy seems to be smart enough and online? You think he will use emergency?  Then use cansel attack item in 3 seconds before your attack will come. If you see him using ER - he cant do it in next 12 hours. 
False Rally - very dangerous bait maneuver, much better then emergency recall, see special post about it.
Reinforcing could be very effective. Assume you just log in to game and see your teamate resources being plungered by multiple single attacks from one or few enemies. Try to reinforce him in the last moment so that enemy could not react and get his force back. That is the great moment for you to use march speedup items.
Tile attack. (farm, sawmill, or field camping troops attack).
You can't make rally. You can't make reinforcement. No any cheats and bugs i know here. No profit except dragoon experience and kill rating goes up. But this attack still very good if you want just damage your enemy in resources, or plan to attack his castle next. If you are careful novice player - farm attack is best way for you to try your swords and do some help in mass pvp war.
Defence by moving out. You see really heavy enemy force(rally) incoming and you don't have much resources to take from you. Just move your force out from the castl for the battle time. You can go to hit monster, or just camp outside. Sorry, nobody home.

The rest of the tips.
There gonna be big alliance war, but I can't play at the moment. What should I do?
1). Most expensive and effective.
Put on castle shield and don't send troops to a farms\sawmills.
2). Ask your teammates if someone planning to shield his castle. You can put your troops in that castle to protect them. Don't keep piles of resources. You need surely ask your teammate about what time he will have his shield on. And is he sure don't want to take it down, and took his part in the war little later.
3)Bare-ass beggar variant :)
Move your troops to some pretty far away farm or just in the field camp. Possibly - if they don't been spotted, or enemies don't have time for that - troops will be full ok, when you need them back.
4) Coward variant - use random teleport. This way you will not be able to do any help to your team until you teleport back.
5) Special false rally cheeki-breeki 1 hour variant... read on special post.

There gonna be big alliance war. I am novice, but I want to help. What should I do?
Do not spam in alliance chats. In my practise there was a moment when we had to kick 2 players even before big war comes true. They were hyper aroused and start to send some psycho messages...
Click "help hands".
Do spying and false attacks with bunches of 5 troops to entangle the enemies. False attack done with: 5 inf, 5 horses 5 archers 5 carts and draco. This heroes will die... but this will look as a real attack :)
You can put spy report in alliance chat if you found something interesting like millions of resources...
Keep in mind that if your watchtower low - you can't see reinforcements and full rally power, some other things.
Keep an eye on the map. Inform about enemies teleporting in and out. Put coordinates to the chat in format like xxx:yyy.
Put little of your troops in open spaces of your hive(outside camping) - to make it protected from enemy teleportations. Close standing enemy is very dangerous.
You can try to reinforce your mates.
Reinforce with no carts, or with the cavalry only, if you feel that you can't get in time other way.
Reinforcing is good most of the time... but there is exceptions. So read the alliance chat carefully.
Sometimes you should not reinforce your teammate.
It could be special bait maneuver. It could be no need, if there is no defence troops and no resources. Sometimes it is no need, because enemy is too heavy.
If there is a little capacity of defender castle(that depends on embassy lvl) send your only best lvl troops.

While PVP war going it is very useful for your mates, if you press "help hands" time and again. Troops could be healed in short bursts, this can be very quick with help of your alliance.

For pvp you need high lvl: troops, watching tower, embassy, hall of war(needs gold), hospitals, red or black Draco, wartype lord talents.

Book of peace.

There is a lot of different annoying marks in the game and it sometimes hard to figure out which of them is important features, and which of them are just donate invitations. This tips will help you.

Vault.
I don’t trying to agitate for donating real money in game… it just for you to know. In fact this book is mostly for not donating players. But Vault opens with the first donation. For this you have to spend at least 1.. or 1.5 USD, not much.... The benefits of the vault is that you can receive 105 gold EVERY DAY since you opened it(with no more real money donation).
If you afraid to put your money card info in your device, (which I personally do, because of viruses and children’s) – then you can delete payment method in google play settings right after the payment.

Event Center. (looks like a theater)
Read carefully all that written there, and try to complete every event. Most of the time you have to do something during the day to take rewards, sometimes there is gold in rewards!


Tavern. Three points there.

Daily reward(left one). Every day you can collect the reward for doing many little tasks. At the end of the day try to look what else you can do to maximize the reward. There is some very easy task like send troops to your ally and so on... Here you can obtain barbarian keys.
Fortune Teller(middle one). Deck of Cards is bullshit! Don’t spend gold for blue runes trying to open the cards! Experience says that good cards(with 1r or 2k gold) always open in last turns! No random card opening there! And last turns cards require tons of blue runes to open…
Crystal Ball(the right one)
Here we got lottery. As any lottery don’t try to spend money for winning the Jackpot. But you can play if you have free tickets(dragon scale). Try to waste your dragon scales once per day, and when it is big jackpot on the roll. Once per day - because playing crystal ball adds 30 points to daily reward.

Lord talent points and institute research.
The tip here is that some points in the research trees are very important to obtain. So you need to get to them faster. How to pass the forks in the branches? In lord talents tree you need to make 100% only for the single branch to go further. In institute tree you need to make only one point for every branch in the fork to go further. Remember this difference!


Exchange market.
The left one is very useful point. Check all the bargains during the day by pressing refresh button, until it is free. Some of them are just free resources! Some of them will help you to get items for wood and food, otherwise obtained only by gold.

How to spend gold if I have it in short?
Keep 1500 for the vault, if you plan to open it and did not do it yet. Extra builders(hammers). PVP required things: shields, teleports, war boosters, spy defend.

What to keep and what to spend?
PVP required things: shields, teleports, war boosters etc… spent it only for PVP!
Open all chests, spent everything that adds experience.
Resources must be opened only in necessity! Don’t keep many resources opened! It will attract enemy to you and your mates. Don’t take rewards if it will not disappear soon, and if you don’t need the reward right now (building and quests rewards). I repeat: If you don’t need wood or food right now, then don’t take reward for constructed building, it can wait as long as you need!
You can spend speedups for construction but keep some for the pvp, They could be useful for healing up troops in the harsh fights.

Alliance.
Donate as much as you can food and wood to ally technologies. Maybe even gold if you got right tab opened. This will not only help to improve the alliance, but this will also help you to obtain stuff on the alliance market! This is the only way without real money donations to take more teleports. If there is no stuff in the left tab of the marked then search in the right tab and ask the leaders to move the things you required for the left tab.
Always press the hands button(alliance help). If you need to heal a lot of troops then you can heal them in short burst, this will be much faster with the help of your alliance.
Send troops to build alliance buildings when required.

Some other tips.
The speed of the army march is different for different troops. Sometimes it is smart so send only fast cavalry.
Switch off “enable other players to view your equipment” in settings, for conspiracy.
In quests about facebook likes etc no need to really put likes etc, just hit the quest link and go back in the game.
When evolve your dragon skills you can switch dragon type by not applying assault points\guardian points. I prefer balanced type for faster advancing, but switching it to assault type if PVP required.
You can use android simulator software to play from your PC. Andyroid, BlueStacks works ok, if your PC is strong enough.
Merlin gift(blue sandwatch) coming equal for all players. Type "merlin" in alliance chat if you see something really good in Merlins gift.
